Vattenfall Heat UK is now looking for a Design Engineer to join our UK based Engineering and Technical team.

Vattenfall Heat UK is rapidly growing and has been successful in securing large district heating and cooling network opportunities in London and Scotland. Our portfolio covers providing heat and cooling to customers on projects from 2,000 homes up to 20,000 homes. Our solutions deliver zero-carbon opportunities and include heat from Energy from Waste, large scale heat pumps and integration of other available waste heat sources. This is an exciting opportunity to drive the development of new zero-carbon solutions for large scale developments and key strategic areas.

Vattenfall has got a long experience in operating heat networks across Europe, where we serve 2.2 million heat customers and this role will be working closely with our colleagues to bring best practice to the UK.

We are looking for a Design Engineer who is passionate about delivering zero-carbon solutions for new areas and developments. This role will focus on developing engineering solutions from the early bidding stage up to RIBA stage 4 detailed designs. The Design Engineer will work closely on projects with Engineering Managers and Project Development Engineers. To be successful in this role the candidate should be passionate about zero-carbon energy, have excellent attention to detail and outstanding technical knowledge of thermodynamics and hydraulics. Ideally, you will have previous working experience of working with AutoCAD and other design software tools.
