Vattenfall is now looking for the right person to fill the position as Senior Development Engineer, Vattenfall Heat UK. The largest operator of district heating in western Europe, serving over 2 million customers, Vattenfall Heat provides low and zero carbon heating and cooling solutions for private developers and public sector clients. Vattenfall is a Swedish-state owned utility and the 5th largest energy company in Europe. Formed two years ago, the Vattenfall Heat team in the UK has secured its first major contracts and has a healthy pipeline and a reputation for disrupting and challenging the market. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and deliver engineering solutions for large scale district heating and cooling developments.
About the role
The Senior Development Engineer will be responsible for zero carbon district heating and cooling technical solution for areas.
You will be responsible for developing techno-economical solution for district heating and cooling that is powered by zero carbon heat sources are commercially viable.
Our successful candidate has a relevant University degree in chemical, mechanical, energy or process engineering, with a minimum of 5-10 years relevant work experience in the field Energy. You will have an exceptional understanding of good engineering design principles, however in addition will have awareness around commercial issues and have a very good stakeholder management skills. To be successful in this role you will have experience in delivering design through different project stages.
