Carol Aitken

Carol Aitken is Senior Public and Regulatory Affairs Manager, leading our engagement with heat policy and government and political stakeholders relating to heat and heat networks.

Starting her career at the heart of government in Whitehall, Carol worked on policy development across a number of departments; with experience in a public affairs agency, Carol then moved into the energy sector where she has spent most of her career, including 10 years with Centrica in a senior government and media relations role. Carol joined Vattenfall in 2018, supporting the then-new, but rapidly expanding, heat networks business. 

Carol provides analysis of the fast-moving heat policy environment and leads on engagement to shape policy in a direction which reflects the needs of the heat networks sector.
