Paul Steen

Paul is Head of Business Development for the North, supporting our strategy and delivery of large-scale, low carbon heat networks in Scotland and the north of England. 

He builds partnerships with existing and new customers, and works collaboratively with key community stakeholders to identify solutions that are aligned with our partners’ needs and our focus on decarbonising heat. 

In this role, Paul draws on his wealth of experience spanning multiple sectors, from ports and harbours to buildings, infrastructure and heat networks. 

Paul is a geotechnical and civil engineering graduate. He previously spent over 20 years at Ramboll in various roles, most notably as Director and Head of the UK District Energy Department. He has worked across the strategic master planning stages through to construction and commissioning.   
 
Paul is passionate about developing young people in the heat network industry, taking on university interns and providing them with the skills, experience and time needed to support the development of our industry’s next generation of talent.
