National Administrative Professionals Day

Take a moment to think about the impact your admin colleagues have on your work and well-being, and how they support you to achieve your own goals.

On Wednesday 27th April, the International Association of Administrative Professionals promotes National Administrative Professionals Day, a day to celebrate all of the diverse roles and responsibilities that sit within “admin”.

As someone who has worked in a variety of admin & support roles over the past 9 years or so, I understand how important it is to work within a team that really values the work you do, and am incredibly grateful for the past (almost) 4 years with Vattenfall Heat UK, a group of individuals who rarely miss the opportunity to say “thank you”, a simple gesture that makes it all the more enjoyable.

On this day, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the critical roles that our own administrative professionals play within the Vattenfall Heat UK Team, to Kiera, Megan, Iona & Kemrie, thank you for making sure the team are in the right place, at the right time, with the right people. Thank you for your calm, unflappable approach to solving problems, every single day. Thank you for keeping everyone, and everything moving forwards, and thank you for helping us to achieve our goals, as individuals, as a team, and as a business.

I am personally grateful for the support provided by the team, and would encourage everyone who is fortunate enough to benefit from admin support, to take a moment to think about the impact your admin colleagues have on your work and well-being, and how they support you to achieve your own goals.
