We are delighted to be welcoming our first residential customers to the Brent Cross Town heat network this year. These residents are joining the heat network from housing association L&Q.
Across the development, we will be providing residents with heating and hot water for their homes, as well as supporting them throughout the onboarding process and providing them with an all-inclusive service, managing maintenance and servicing requirements.
We also look forward to welcoming our first business customers to the Brent Cross Town heat network; we will be supplying commercial properties with heating and hot water – as well as cooling to some commercial properties.
Building resilience into Brent Cross Town
Our heat network is futureproofing the properties in Brent Cross Town. To heat homes and businesses, properties on Brent Cross Town will use multiple, low carbon heat sources. This builds resilience into the network and ensures that the heating system can adapt to fuel source availability without compromising heating and hot water supply to customers.
Pioneering, all-electric energy centre
We will generate low carbon heat for residents and businesses at Brent Cross Town through our all-electric main energy centre. The energy centre is set to be one of the largest fully-electric main energy centres in Europe and will use air-source heat pumps, e-boilers, heat recovery chillers and thermal stores to generate heat. The main energy centre is anticipated for completion in 2027.
