Dominic Barton

Dom is Director of Heat Networks in Bristol, leading our delivery of a city-wide heat network as part of the Bristol City Leap partnership.

His team is responsible for the growth and safe operation of the Bristol heat network – including connecting new customers and serving the community with low carbon heat. A critical part of his role is engagement with our strategic partners in the Bristol City Leap partnership, Bristol City Council and Ameresco, which is set to deliver over £1 billion of investment into Bristol’s energy system. 

Dom has worked in the UK low carbon energy sector for over 15 years across project development, delivery and operational leadership roles. He has held senior roles for a number of leading UK heat network owner operators. During this time, he supported “pathfinder” activity across the heat network sector, working with industry partners and stakeholders to develop the early-stage industry regulatory models which now form the basis of incoming sector regulation.
